Vince is the founder and principal of Legacy Banking Services. He was previously a principal and managing director at ProBank Austin, and ProBank Austin's predecessor, Professional Bank Services, Inc. ("PBS") for over 30 years. Following FORVIS' acquisition of ProBank Austin in 2022, Vince was a Director in Loan Review Services under FORVIS' National Advisory Service Region, and Risk Advisory Services unit.
At PBS/ProBank, Vince specialized in safety and soundness issues such as policy development, risk management, funds management, loan review, and credit administration, as well as troubled bank assistance, strategic planning, and litigation support. Vince has been a key member of litigation support teams on engagements involving failed banks and thrifts. He has served as a testifying expert witness and consulting expert representing officers and directors of failed banks five times following the 2008 banking crisis.
Prior to joining PBS, he was an operations officer in a community bank and then spent over ten years with the Comptroller of the Currency as a commissioned field examiner and later as a team leader in the problem bank division of the OCC’s Central District Office. Vince is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and holds a graduate degree in Finance and Marketing from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has served as a member of the faculty of the FDIC’s Bank Operations and Compliance School, the OTS' New Thrift Regulator School, and has spoken on corporate governance, risk management and lending related programs sponsored by PBS, FORVIS, and various state banking associations.
Vince officially retired from FORVIS in May 2024. He enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his four grandchildren. While not looking to stay too busy, he has assembled a group of similarly experienced independent contractors that could be mobilized as needed on larger engagements.
